Botswana Diamonds -Approximately forty one years ago, a gigantic diamond mine was discovered by DeBeers in a remote area in Botswana called Orapa. Soon after Debeers and the government of Botswana formed a 50-50 joint venture called Debswana to mine and eventually produced polished diamonds.
